FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I expect from the initial visit?

During your initial visit, we will do a comprehensive review of your intake forms (these will be emailed to you beforehand), including a review of your medical history, nutrition history, and provided labs.  We'll work together to determine the underlying causes that are contributing to the symptoms and medical conditions that brought you to my office.  Initial visits last 60-90 minutes, and follow-up visits are 45 minutes.

Are you a Naturopath or a Registered Dietitian?  OR How are you different from other Naturopaths/Registered Dietitians?

Both!  Many people ask me what a Naturopath is.   Naturopathic physicians combine traditional healing methods with modern science, focusing on prevention.  Registered Dietitians are trained nutrition professionals who provide nutritional care and advice based on each individual's lifestyle.  I combine these two philosophies to tailor a plan for each client that will lead to a healthier lifestyle from the inside out.

What are the primary reasons people come to you?

I work with everyone!  Some people see me because they'd like to lose weight.  Others want to feel healthier.  Others may be experiencing symptoms such as headaches or fatigue and can't figure out the source.  I work with each client individually to tailor a plan that will help them feel better and live a healthier

Will insurance cover my visit?

I do not accept insurance, bill insurance, or prepare HCFA forms for office visits.  I can provide an itemized bill of services for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Schehr Nutrition accepts cash, checks, credit cards, online payments, and FSA/HSA cards.

What is the cancellation policy?

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Any visits cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the office fee.  No-shows will be charged the full office fee.
